Splayed bristles are often caused by a build-up of thick paint on the brush. Simply rinse the brush thoroughly with clean water and wipe it with a tissue, the bristles will be restored.

Acrylic paint tends to dry quickly, and prolonged exposure to air can make it thick. Add a small amount of water to dilute it, and remember to seal the paint container promptly after use.

Mistakes can be corrected using the reference chart provided. Acrylic paint has excellent coverage, so you can completely cover the wrong color by applying the correct one over it.

When blending, usually 2-3 colors are involved. Start by painting the first color, then immediately apply the second color before the first dries. Use the same brush, lightly blending at the boundary by brushing back and forth until the transition appears seamless.

Some lighter colors may have weaker coverage, but they can still cover completely by applying a thicker layer of paint or adding a second coat after the first layer dries.

Don’t worry if the same color painted on a different day looks slightly off. Once the paint dries completely, the color will match.

While precision is important for detailed areas like facial expressions on people or pets, for elements like hairs, body parts, or the background, you can be more flexible. It’s okay to paint slightly outside the lines or adjust the size or position as you see fit.
